COVID FAQs

(Aug 2022) With new Provincial Government direction all illnesses are to use sick days, there is no paid Quarantine Leave being granted.

However, IDEL- Infectious Disease Emergency Leave, for Daily OTs

For Occasional Teachers who have a pre-booked assignment and require the use of up to the 3 days provided by IDEL, we are asking that they notify the Principal, along with HR (otlistelementary@ocdsb.ca)  of their absence via email so a replacement teacher can be found.

For OTs who are in current DOT positions, we will maintain the current practice of having the OT notify their Principal of their absence directly. The Principal will then submit a DOT Absence form for the OT to HR.

The appropriate action ensures the OT receives payment for their IDEL absence.
