OCEOTA Fall General Meeting October 22nd

OCEOTA held our Fall General Meeting on October 22nd, President Jamieson Dyer spoke to members about several topics including  Collective Bargaining issues, French and English pool advocacy, the recent reorganization of our schools and the changes in the staffing timeline, Staffing delay of List 3, the DOT program, the educational system and the dire need to fund for our students, Occasional Teachers and PD training but there being no release time, the effects of new changes made to the ATE call out system and impact of Bill 33.

The Budget was presented and approved with cheers for the reduction in the 2025/26 levy to 0.25%

On the evening Member at Large – Dalia Elkhouli presented Charlotte McMaster with her 5 year service award. Thank you for your dedication, commitment, and professionalism that has set an example within our Local.

Congratulations on completing your significant milestones of occasional teaching in the OCDSB. We are glad to have teachers like you with us. Cheers to all your incredible years of work!
