In accordance with Ontario Regulation 274/12 Hiring Practices, (http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/english/elaws_regs_120274_e.htm), the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is required to establish and maintain a Long-Term Occasional Teacher List (LTO Hiring List). This list will name Occasional Teachers who are eligible to apply for Long-Term Occasional Teaching Assignments within the OCDSB.
You are eligible to apply for placement on the OCDSB Elementary LTO List if you are an approved OCDSB Elementary occasional teacher and you meet the following conditions:
a) You were added to the OCDSB Elementary Occasional Teachers List on or before December 18, 2017; and
b) at the time of your application, you have taught as an OCDSB Elementary Occasional Teacher in one or more OCDSB Elementary schools for at least 20 full days (i.e. 2 half days equals 1 full day) during a 10-month period between October 25, 2013 and October 25, 2018. If you are currently in an LTO and are not on the LTO list, you still need to meet the required qualifications: be on the OT List for 10 months and completed the 20 FTE days.
After the posting deadline, Human Resources will verify your eligibility based on the conditions outlined above. If you meet all of the conditions, you will receive an email (through the email address you have provided in ApplytoEducation) by November 5, 2018, inviting you to attend an interview.
Interviews will be held on November 8 (evening) and November 10th (day), 2018. The email invitation will include details concerning how to book your interview (location, time, and process).
These are the ONLY 2 dates available.
Debriefs for those who are unsuccessful in the interview will be scheduled upon request.
If you do not currently meet the conditions to apply at this time, you will have an opportunity to apply at a later date. Candidates will be notified only if they meet the conditions listed above.
If selected for an interview, persons with disabilities who need accommodations in the application or interview process should email a request to email@example.com and indicate “Accommodation Request” in the subject line.
